This section of the web site contains information about the ships currently using the port, different shipping services available to carry cargoes to and from the port and tide and weather information.

With more than 4,000 ship movements every year, the Port of Newcastle is a busy international trading facility.

A link to PORTS (at the top of this page) is specifically for authorised users, letting them book ships into the movement schedule and apply for permits for shipping related works.

The supervision and handling of dangerous goods is carried out in accordance with the relevant Acts, Regulations, Codes and Guidelines including Part 11 of the NSW Dangerous Goods Regulations 1999 and the associated Australian Standard AS3846-1988, utilising suitably trained personnel.
